As one of the first people to have received The CCD Camera CookBook manual in March of 1994, and having shortly thereafter having completed my CB245, I should be quite proficient in its use. The unfortunate truth is that I found lugging everything out into the back yard to be unappealing, and therefore have very little experience with it! I guess my minor claim to fame was solving a low voltage problem a number of builders were having on the 9.5v supply. At the time the book came out, there was a strong interest in the Astronomy Forum on CompuServe. I have a zipped file (1.3 MB) covering the first 5 months of email dealing with the Cookbook Cameras available to down load by clicking here.. This file covers a lot of initial questions, building problems and operation. Once my observatory is completed, I plan on becoming more familiar with my CB245. Future plans including adding the LDC modification and a shutter.
